About

Hi there and thank you very much for taking a moment to check out my blog.

This is a blog about  original music that I have written and recorded over the years; music  that I have written for myself but not have had the opportunity to share on a large scale until now with those who are open to check out a relatively unknown artist.

Let me start off by saying that creating music is the most important thing in my life and has been since I was 7.

My musical influences were very varied through time as I listened to pretty much all styles. My style of music is sort of 60’s to contemporary. I have written pieces ranging from pop to rock to classical to ragtime.

The songs / instrumentals all have a personal meaning for me as I wrote them as a response to life events that were impacting to me (small or large) as well as just simple observations of the times. The music really got me through the tough times and made the good times so much better.

I perform all instruments / vocals and record in a studio using Sonar X3.  I am hoping my vocals are congenial as I always strive to improve my voice.

I am happy to share my music with others because I believe it is excellent and is a sound and style that I do not really hear that much anymore in the media but wish I did .

Who knows, maybe a song or 2 may resonate with you!

If you feel inclined to take a listen it would certainly be more than I expected!

At any rate I will post soon how to actually listen to the music…probably right here and / or Sound Cloud. Please feel free to leave me a comment (good or bad) as I would be most appreciative of any feedback.

Best Regards,

Steve Z

  1. Hi Steve. Thanks for visiting my blog. I don’t know if I’ve ever been to a blog dedicated to music performance. My brother has a You Tube channel. He likes video. I used Sound Cloud on a prior blog. Good luck. Nice to meet you.

    • Hi Robin and thanks for your interest and nice meeting you as well. I had no idea if I should put my music on a blog in the first place but the way I look at it I communicate my ideas and feelings with sound…others use photos…others use poetry…so every song I put up has a reason behind it and I tell the story of why I wrote it.

      Best Regards,

      Steve Z
